Paula Weir Powell, 87, of Naples passed away on November 16, 2023 after a long illness. She was born March 16, 1936 in Mansfield, Ohio.
She attended DePauw University (1958) where she met her husband of 66 years, William R. Powell. Paula took great joy in raising her three children, Steven Bruce, James Edward and Karen Lynn Powell in Hubbard, Ohio. She was an avid gardener, painter and a talented seamstress.
Paula was an active member of the Hubbard community and spent a lot of time volunteering. She was active with Delta Gamma Alumni, Garden Club, Junior League of Youngstown and Monday Musical-where she was the talent booker for many years.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margaret Weir. She is survived by her brother, John Weir, her husband, Bill, her children, Steve (Donna Cackley), Jim (Susan) and Karen, and her beloved grandchildren, Kirsten, Jamie, and Sara.
There will be no public memorial.

My grandma taught me many things in life, but one that always sticks with me is allowing the little things to bring you joy. For her it was sitting in the sun, having an ice cream, or reading a good book, which she often proclaimed as wonderful.
Paula had a wonderful life full of many joys and I’m so proud to be her granddaughter.
