Timothy Rombach departed from this life on the morning of February 29, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer, leaving us with one last joke: dying on a day that only comes around every four years. A longtime resident of Chippewa Lake, Ohio, he spent the last 26 years living in Naples, Fla. He enjoyed his work as a security officer for multiple Naples’ condominiums-Le Ciel Park Tower, Seapoint at Naples Cay, Monaco Beach Club, and others. He thrived on the relationships he formed there. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970, receiving a National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore T. Rombach and Edith H. Rombach of Lodi, Ohio; his brother, Thomas T. Rombach of Clearwater, Fla.; and his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Rev. Patrick Kelly of Mt. Gilead, Ohio. He leaves behind his brother, Robert (Rick) Rombach from Chillicothe, Ohio; his daughter, Brooke Rombach Ward (Nathan Ward) from Tampa, Fla.; his daughter, Rachel Burch (David Burch) from Ashtabula, Ohio; four grandsons, Silas Ward, Judah Ward, David Burch, and Aidan Burch; and many extended family members. In his memory, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and Florida College in Temple Terrace, Fla.: https://floridacollege.edu/give/
The Rombach family will be having a memorial service Friday, March 29, 2024, 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Naples Funeral Home 3107 Davis Blvd., Naples, Florida 34104.
