Fannie was the beloved daughter of Mabelle Smith and Ruben L. Curry Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother Alan Carter and her life partner Luke Jones Sr. She is survived by her uncle Sam, and her 17 siblings; Tommy, Ida Mae, Jimmy, Ruby, James, Andrew, Bernice, Joe, Melvin, Robert, Walter, Clyde, Johnny, Rosa, Linda, Louise, and Angenett. Her legacy lives on through her children: Nicole, Lousheba, and Titus, as well as her son-in-law Lemeck. She was a devoted grandmother to Lemeck Jr., Leo, Nia, Janay, Keondrek, Kymori, and Ja’Zyria. Her love reached into the next generation with the anticipated arrival of her great-granddaughter Clementine.
A longtime resident of Naples, Florida, Fannie found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved fishing, relishing peace beside the waters edge. She delighted in preparing meals for those she loved. Her kitchen was a place of gathering and comfort—her meals nourished both body and soul and created cherished memories for all who sat at her table. A spirited game of spades was always welcome in her home, where laughter echoed and bonds were strengthened. Above all else, Fannie cherished time spent with her family. She was that connection we all needed.
Rooted in family and faith, her kind nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether offering a comforting word or sharing a hearty laugh, Fannie’s presence was a source of love and light.
May God welcome her with open arms, and grant comfort and peace to all who mourn her passing. We love you Mama.

Fanno was like my adoptive mother because of her daughter Nicole and her son-in-law Lemeck. All the fishing stories and parties and birthdays. So many memories to share…She definitely left her mark on this earth and to those she came to paths with. My condolences to the Curry, Smith, and Cherenfant family for blessing me with Fannie Mae Curry. We will forever miss you! I love you!
