John always loved music, particularly country music, and had a vast collection of albums. John had taken up oil painting in the 70’s and continued painting for several years. John also loved to do crossword puzzles – books and books of puzzles- as well as sudoku. In his earlier years he liked to play horseshoes and join in family gatherings. John and his wife had square danced and round danced for many years while living in NJ and Florida. This was one of their favorite pastimes as well as attending country music events.
