Petra “Noelia” Fernandez, 95 of Naples, Florida passed away on December 21, 2024 of natural causes.  Noelia as she was known to many, was born on June 29, 1929 in Pedro Betancourt, Matanzas, Cuba, to Celedonio Gonzalez and Aurora Sanchez.

She immigrated with her husband and 4 children on July 28, 1966, and shortly after arriving in the United States, she had a son.  She became a citizen in 2018 at the age of 89.  Noelia loved her home country of Cuba, but was a proud American.

Noelia worked at Mariner Motel and The Cove Inn in housekeeping and worked in Kepp’s Men shop as a seamstress.  Later she opened her own seamstress shop.

Noelia was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Fernandez and daughter, Marti Fernandez-Peralta.

Noelia is survived by three brothers in Cuba and a sister in Miami, her daughters, Teresita Alfonso, (Jose), Rosita Stafford,(Mike), Ana Johnson, (Jim), three sons Juan Fernandez, (Teresita), Carlos Fernandez, (Amy) and Joe Fernandez, fourteen grandchildren and thirty one great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving visitors from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM with a service beginning at 11:00 AM at Naples Funeral Home 3107 Davis Blvd., Naples, FL. 34014.
