Jacob “Jerry” Cohen December 22, 1931 – November 10, 2025 The family of Jacob “Jerry” Cohen sadly announces his passing on November 10, 2025, at his home in Bonita Springs, Florida. He died peacefully, just shy of his 94th birthday, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on December 22, 1931, in The Bronx, New York, to Rebecca (Rosen) and Abraham Cohen, Jerry lived a long life marked by devotion, humor, and quiet strength. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Fordham University before proudly serving his country during the Korean War.

After returning home, Jerry married the love of his life, Barbara Jaffin, on June 22, 1958. Together they built a home in Teaneck, New Jersey, where they raised their three children. Upon retirement, Jerry and Barbara relocated to Bonita Springs, Florida, where they enjoyed many happy years surrounded by friends and family.

Jerry was known for his athleticism on the handball court, as well as his luck at the pinochle table. His competitive spirit, quick wit, and easy laugh made him a joy to be around—whether on the court, at the card table, or simply in the company of those he loved.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a caring father, and a beloved grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara; his children Evan (Kathryn), Melissa, and Matthew (Leslie); and his cherished grandchildren Aaron, Sophie, Jonathan, and Alexandra.

Burial will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:30am at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries, Paramus, New Jersey.
