Robert Rosado, 74, of Naples, FL, passed away on 12/02/2024. Born on 10/30/50 in Bronx, NY. He was a devoted husband to Damaris and a loving father.
Robert was hard-working and dedicated, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and of course a US ARMY Veteran. He served 2 tours as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army and worked over 20 years as a Captain in Department of Sanitation in NYC. They knew him at work as Bobby Rosado, however, he was called Papo by his family & friends. Despite his many responsibilities, Papo always made time for his family, that included both the VA community and the Department of Sanitation. Papo, loved his music and he is a Proud Puerto Rican……Un Salseto.
Papo, never liked being the center of attention, however he deserves to be honored. As he was a man of integrity, hard work and generosity and always had a sense of calmness about him. He had a way of touching people’s hearts with his humor, his laugh & his music. He always left a lasting impression on everyone.
Papo’s hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed his family, dancing, traveling, golf and of course loved spending time with his 4-legged baby, Penny. However, his love of making music, singing or playing any of his instruments will leave a mark on all of us that will never fade.
He is survived by his wife Damaris, his son Robert Jr, his Stepsons, Jason & Miguel and his grandchildren Christian, Olivia, Marissa, Matthew, Elijah & Cassandra, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Which includes his dear sister Hilda and her children Krystle & Jason.
A funeral service will be held on 12/09/24 at 2pm-6pm at Naples Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life will be held in NY, details to follow.
We find comfort in knowing that Papo legacy lives on through the lessons he taught all of us and the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

Papo was a rare person. Authentic, kind, and sincere. He was a man of good character and values. And he loved my sister. His absence will be felt a very long time. He made us PR’s proud. And what a singing voice. ❤️
